Add a Window to your Wall!
I love using old windows to frame large collages! First of all, they make such a strong statement when hung in a room. Old windows have character and stories behind them and they immediately draw people in. I think window collages are an excellent vehicle to tell YOUR story through. The large horizontal window above hangs in our kitchen. It tells the story of my family. There are photograph of my grandparents wedding, my parents wedding and my own wedding. I incorporated images of family members and wording that is meaningful to me: grow, family, life, love. Windows make great gifts for grandparents or newlyweds... to tell the story of their life. What will YOUR window story be about?

Dragon fly invasion!
This collage was the vision of the family's friend... and wow did she have a vision! There is a beautiful story of about the significance of the Dragonfly. While proposing to his wife, they were surrounded by dragonflies... from their love came two beautiful children. Thank you AM for allowing me to create such a meaningful and layered piece of art. I hope your gift was received with as much love that it was created with!

These cute kiddies were the stars of THREE beautiful collages! We made the first one for daddy and mom liked it so much she rounded up the cousins photos and we created collages for Grandfather and Grandmother! I love that these collages capture the image of your children at such wonderful ages!

Daddy and his daughter!
I love the combination of little girl and daddy photo and the beautiful grown up daughter photo! The images are so sweet and such a reminder that daddy and daughter relationships are so special. It is hard to imagine our babies will grow up! This type of collage is a great gift for a graduate or to commemorate a special birthday, like a sweet 16!

A Family Collage!
I know that I am usually the one behind the camera and very rarely am I in any of our photos... so I LOVE professional photography where the mama, papa and baby all get to be captured together as a family! This collage was commissioned by the mother in the photo's sister! What a wonderful gift to give! I was thrilled with the gorgeous photos provided and love the trio of photos- mom & baby, dad & baby and the whole family together. Collages like this are a great gifts to capture multiple family photos or groups. You can do photos of different family members or different family group photos... the options are endless!

It's all in the eyes...
I was so excited to start creating when I received the photos of these precious girls! Their big beautiful eyes were just begging me to put them on canvas! Thank you to my client for sending along such perfect photos. I included some details of the stamping on this 11x14 canvas. I am trying to figure out a way to include more detail photos because the photos really don't do the details much justice. This was another Father's Day collage and I was very happy with how it turned out. It was fun challenging myself to create a piece that acknowledged the girlie spirit of the photos but was clearly a gift for a Daddy! One of the challenges that I face with personalize collages is that I don't know the children in the photos, so I have to create a personality in my head for each image to help me portray the image correctly. Luckily for me, the personalities ooze out of these photos! Thank you once again to my client for giving me the heads up that my emails were all being filtered to my junk mail!??!! Oh the joys of technology!

Oh so sweet!
Isn't my job so much fun? I get to take beautiful photos of gorgeous mini people and the ones who love them and make them into art!?!?! The little lady clearly has her daddy wrapped around her little lovely fingers! The look of pure love on daddy's face is my favorite! Good job mama on an excellent first Father's Day gift! I hope daddy loved it!

Daddy's Boy!
Take a look at this little man and his daddy! I was very excited when my client sent me the photo of daddy and baby boy in the creek because I loved the idea of doing earthy colors as the collage background! Wow, did this one turn out great! I absolutely LOVE the chubby baby hands holding onto daddy's strong arms in the photo and the close up shot of the little man was a perfect color accent for the collage. I am looking forward to seeing the gorgeous baby #2 from this family and creating him or her a collage of his or her own!

Happy Daddy's Day!
My apologies that the photo of this collage is not the best photograph! I was trying very hard to get the "daddy" in the top to appear, it is very subtle but works so perfect with this image! Oh, how I love this photo of my boys on the beach! This is the daddy's day present for the daddy in our life.

1 Year New!
A personalized collage is a wonderful way to document important birthdays for adults and children alike! I created this collage for a very special 1st Birthday! Another cute idea would be to incorporate a birthday invitation or a newspaper clipping from their birthday in the background of the collage. Oh, the possibilities are endless!

Miss Mango at the Jewels of the Highlands
It was a lovely afternoon to be sitting in the garden of the Lumber Baron Bed & Breakfast! We set up a booth at the Jewels of the Highlands Tour (thank you HMBG for organizing!) and spent the afternoon in the sunshine. We enjoyed meeting some other great artists from the Highlands!

Christmas for Daddy!
Check out the smiles on these cute kiddies! This personalized collage was a Christmas present for their daddy, commissioned by their mama. I love that the images used in this collage capture the personality and ages of the kiddos! The names and current ages of the children are scribed on the back of the canvas.

Personalized Collages

These collages were commissioned as Christmas gifts for the customer's sister and brother. The symbolism in these paintings was very special. The tree in each photo is the tree that grows in their family cemetery. We also incorporated special photos in each collage. My favorite personalization of these collages is that we included a beautiful quote that their grandmother used to always say. My client had a letter written from her grandmother with this quote, so I was able to include the quote written in her grandmother's handwriting. Truly a beautiful personalized treasure!
